Deploy Day 4 - What if being un-cool is cool?

"The only true currency in this world is what you share with someone else when you are being uncool." - from the movie Almost Famous

Sometimes a day happens that reminds you just how simple and beautiful life is, a day that reflects back who you really are inside and what you enjoy most about the people and places right in front of you.

You don't have to venture far to unlock the value that's always there just waiting to be appreciated, to be savored.

Everyone seems to know how others should be living their lives, when if you just sit with yourself and connect to that authentic voice in your heart - the possibility of living your own personal dream, one that is unvalidated, incomparable and felt in your soul awaits.

Trying to be cool is so dangerous.  It robs us of what we really want, and endless industries feed these beliefs that who we really are is not good enough or not worthy of just belonging in the world outside.

It's hard sometimes but I believe that is why we are here - to struggle, to accept and to surrender into that place of complete acceptance of what we are and what our unique purpose is.

Welcome those feelings that crack you open.  There is a force that wants you to experience your bigger picture.  One that pushed your boundaries and teaches you how to really live.

Today was filled with luck and coincidence and in it's own way was designed by the work being done to deploy a dream I dare to dream.

I dream of a world where simply sitting and having a great conversation or seeing flowers bloom or riding a bicycle to the water front is enough to trigger all those gorgeous chemicals in my brain and to spark feelings in my heart and to replenish what is spent doing the work.

To accept one's self completely, to love one's self completely and to show up for what ever that self brings into your world, is a daily opening to experiences that have never existed before amongst the places and people you continuously see.  And it leads you down paths to others you have not.

And one of my favorite things about all of this - is just how un-cool it really is.  No audience, no applause, no self promotion, no branding, no escaping, no grasping, no expectations --- just a sense of trust and wonder and a lot of laughing at ridiculousness in a simple world full of magic if you care to see it.

Very, very cool.
